The year 2018 saw a new partnership with Camshaft Software where players can export vehicles crafted in the tycoon game Automation into the driving simulator.

In 2013, the car driving simulator had a soft release with some Alpha testing, followed by an Early Access launch in 2015, that contained additional features for a new platform. The cars’ internal design resembled ‘beams,’ which the team derived the name from, followed by ‘NG’ for New Generation. The latter was better equipped to handle the soft-body physics that was unique to the current project. While they started working on the game with CryEngine 3, it eventually moved over to Torque. They were looking to build a new drive physics engine that could handle collisions. Those posts are luckily now taken down.Development of BeamNG.drive began in 2011 when some Rigs of Rods developers moved onto a new project. It was a very early, unoptimized and buggy version of the map. * "But, haven't I seen this map before somewhere?" You may have, as during development, I temporarily put up a BeamMP server to test the drag script, and a few people joined, and one of them stole the map files and a couple people reuploaded them here. As I said above, the drag script may not work 100%, due to positional sync accuracy, but with communication, you can manage to get races working somewhat. YES you can host multiplayer mod servers with this map. If you want to release a modified version of my map, use the drag racing script on your own map, or help me with further development, please PM me on the forum first, and we can discuss it! PLEASE do not reupload this map anywhere or use the original assets in your own resources. There are placeholder buildings in place for the Freedom Factory Offices, Ticket Stands, and Shop as I want to create my own objects for those. The map is in Beta, as the outer edges of the map are not complete yet, but the main, important parts of the map are quite complete. The entire complex is LiDAR-scanned and very accurate. The "White Trash" and "Neighbor" skins featured in the screenshots are not included in this resource, but can be found here: Credit goes to Mayneiak90 for them. (Multiplayer has not been fully tested at the time of submission) Simply stage in either one or both lanes, as you would IRL.Ĭredit goes to Miss for writing the drag race script, you can follow her work, and support her here:Īnd if you'd like to support my work, Here's my donation link!: The drag strip has a working 1/4 mile 1 AND 2 lane tree and timing board script, that theoretically SHOULD work with multiplayer mods. This is the YouTube-famous complex including Cleetus McFarland's Freedom Factory 3/8ths Oval Track, and the Bradenton Motorsports Park 1/4 Mile Drag Strip.
